XCoser Wig Review

Long time no see!

SO. Here is a review of 2 wigs I ordered from XCoser!
I've never really dealt with this shop before now but my friend had a coupon for the site and offered it to me to get some new cosplay wigs ~ Pretty amazingly the coupon code was for 90$ USD. My friend got a mask and I got 2 wigs, so with the difference I spent 12 dollars so I'm getting a pretty sweet deal regardless!
We did have some trouble getting our order to ship out unfortunately though. It took a good while so that really sucked.
What was fun about this order was that it came with a wig cap for each wig! Something I've been meaning to get myself so that was appreciated!
What I find really cool about this site is that they have really unconventional cosplay supplies. You can get stuff from shows like Star Trek for example (which I'm constantly looking for.) So it's a good spot if you're trying to find something pretty obscure.
Alright moving on to the wigs. THIS is the first wig I ordered! It's for a character named Nezumi from Future City No.6 (correct me if i'm wrong, I've never heard of this anime before.) I actually picked up this wig because I had originally intended on using it cosplay Noodle this past Halloween! I was looking for something with long bangs, a pony tail and either a purple or blue tone to it, thus I thought the Nezumi wig would match well enough.

Sorry for the poor image quality :S But as you can the wig is straight up grey instead of being dark blue like the image. It's really a shame too cause it's so nice and thick! I can't believe how real the pony tail looks and falls!

I really do like this wig. It is definitely a work in progress so I'll for sure need to be doing some cutting on the bangs. If the color wasn't so dramatically off this wig would've been pretty perfect. For my purposes I'll probably be taking advantage of the grey colour and finding a way to use to dress up as Max Malanaphy ~

Wig number 2! THIS is the wig I ordered. It's a Naruto Uzumaki wig but I'll be using it to cosplay Caesar Zeppeli!

I'm super happy with this wig! It was exactly what I wanted. It falls super well and I'll have to very little work on it to get it how I want it ~ No complaints here! I'm so excited to wear it ; v ;

I love the way the hair fluffs out in the back as well. I won't have to do any work on that area of the wig.

So there we go! This is a mixed review in the end, I am overall quite happy but there were issues with this order of course.

Value: ♡ (These wigs are 25$ - 30$ without the discount so when they are correct to their description they're a great value!)
Quality: ♡ (The quality of the wigs themselves are fantastic. They have so much weight are so soft.)
Overall happiness with items: ♡ (Once again, would be better if the colour had been more accurate for the first wig.)
Customer Service: ♡ (My friend had trouble getting out order going and it was not shipped out till they had to make a fuss unfortunately :S Though the order was almost free.)

So there you have it! Hope this review could give you some insight into your next XCoser order ~

Spreepicky Seifuku Review

This is an older review that I'm bringing to my main blog! You can see the original HERE

So just today I received my sky blue seifuku from Spreepicky ~
Here's a link to specific product! !!!
This is the seifuku I plan to use for my Mirai Kuriyama cosplay this August at Otakuthon. BUT  I do plan on wearing it regularly ~
Here’s everything that came in the package. Everything was very  well packaged and there were no signs of damage at all. Was super impressed with how much care was taken in this.

As well I was given a sweet little hand written thank you note and a really cute pair of bow earrings. ~

Now, onto the actual seifuku. Well I have to say I love it ; v ; The fabrics really nice. The shirt is a very soft stretchy fabric and the skirt is a simple soft polyester. Everything is super comfortable and a good fit. I got the medium though I’ve heard from other reviews they are made small. I’m fairly thin but I have muscle and it’s a perfect fit, any smaller or bigger wouldn’t have been as comfortable ~
Shipping was also very fast. I ordered my package on June 26th. This is especially great considering the shipping was free. I only payed a little over 20$ for everything ~ (The conversion to Canadian tacked on a few dollars)
So overall;
Quality: 9/10
Shipping: 10/10
Customer Service: 10/10
Super happy with this order and seifuku. I’m sure I’ll be ordering from Spreepicky again ~

Wella 050 Cooling Violet Toner Review

So about a week ago I decided to tone my hair with "Wella's Color Charm Cooling Violet 050 Toner" after taking a trip to Sally Beauty on a day trip to Plattsburgh!

TO START, I very much used THIS video to guide in me in this toning process, so thanks to Lauren Bradley Cox for the help ~

This was my first time using any type of toner that needed a developer so this was new to me, but it does make a lot more sense to be depositing the toner into your hair rather then laying it on like any other colour. Another thing to note is how bleached my hair is. Right now the top part of my silver hair has probably been bleached over about 2 - 3 so this will take to toner much faster. The hair right above my dark roots had been bleached over once so that did affect the outcome.

Like Lauren suggests in her video, I used a 10 developer on the top part of my hair and a 20 developer on the darker blond. After processing the darker part for 35 minutes and the rest for maybe 20 (my hair was already quite silver before toning) here's what I got.

A fairly dark silver/grey! It was way more saturated that I was expecting but my hair was so toned already that I shouldn't have been surprised. I was very happy with the results though! The pigment was strong and didn't seem to wash out like most toners.
Here it is about a week later.

You can see the dark grey faded only slightly but still kept the nice silver tone while going more towards white * v * Just what I wanted in the first place!

I'm very pleased with the results over all, it toned really well and really seems to be lasting. On the other hand though, I found it didn't take to my darker blond hair (which was quite bleached.) It still turned grey but with more beige undertone. That was the only downside.

My overall review!

Value:  ( I spent like nothing on this and there's so much left over)
Process:  (Was easy to apply, didn't smell, always a plus)
Results:  (I'm very happy aside from that mishap with the great/beige)
